On May 7, SMHS’s theatre department had performed a 2-act play called Fast Food, written by Tracy Wells. This took place in the afternoon during the Arts and Humanity Day for all students and staff to attend. The play tells of crazy customers and situations that could happen at a fast food going called “Macburgers”. Whatever could go wrong within the restaurant probably will, but that’s the charm! It is a lighthearted, comedic play, and was the closing performance to the afternoon. On May 8th, the cast also did a public showing of the performance for the community of St. Marys.
The cast is as followed: Sam Lauderman as “Charlie/Referee”, Lily Westbrook as “Manager/Gary”, Liam Loughner as “Alex/Anita”, Maxtin Cook as “Steve/Zombie”, Addie Smith as “Captain Cluck”, Serenity Thompson as “Life Coach/Rhonda”, Issac Miller as “Pat/Moe”, Elliot Chipps as “Patty/Employee”, Campbell Wilson as “Customer/Grannie/Manager”, Arianna Wince as “Kerry/Owl Prowler”, Carter Dalrymple as “Evan/Robber”. For behind the scenes, Kendall McGee was stage manager/set designer, Madison Kern was sound designer and manager, and Heidi was light manager. This cast had done a wonderful job on performing on the two opening nights, both doing successfully. They intend to put on a great show for the elementary school kids, so we wish them luck on their performance!
