The St. Marys Lady Blue Devils secured a 15-4 win against South Harrison on Monday, April 20th before dropping a 9-2 decision to Parkersburg on that Wednesday. St. Marys used a fast start to overwhelm the Hawks but couldn’t overcome a pair of big innings by the Big Reds two days later. In Monday’s win, St. Marys put 11 runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning and finished with 12 hits. Alyssa Winland went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI, Maddie Lambert was 2-for-3 with four RBIs and two runs, and Mia Christensen drove in three with a triple. Brylee McGrady added two RBIs and Autumn Mossor picked up the win, striking out five in three innings.
On Wednesday, Parkersburg broke a scoreless game with three runs in the fourth and added four more in the fifth on the way to its 9-2 victory. Kinley Thomas doubled and drove in a run for St. Marys while Winland tripled and scored. Adaleigh McGrady finished 2-for-3. St. Marys put its 8-13 mark on the line against Williamstown in a Little Kanawha Conference playoff game that Thursday.
