On Friday May 7, the annual Arts and Humanities Student Showcase was held during school. In the morning from 8:30am to 9:45am, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen rotated in 15-minute sessions as they were able to view fellow students’ artwork on display. After this, all students reported to the auditorium and had the opportunity to watch the Band, choir, individual recitals, and student made films. Literature students also had the opportunity to present their original poems, and the Young Writer winners were recognized. To end the morning, dancers from our school’s dance team volunteered to perform their solo routines. In the afternoon, students reported back to the auditorium to finish the day watching the comical Theatre Presentation titled Fast Food. After school hours, the Art Open House began at 5pm which allowed community members to stop by and see the art. Starting at 6pm, the Academic Honors Ceremony was held which honored students who received academic accomplishments over the school year.

My name is Autumn Mossor. I am a senior this year, and I am involved in many different groups and activities. I am a part of National Honor Society and Leo Club. FFA is also a big part of my life, I raise a hog throughout the summer and fall, then I participate in the Ham Bacon and Egg Sale in February. I enjoy doing community service as well as playing softball in the spring. I chose to become apart of newspaper to share my ideas and highlight the achievements and events at St. Marys High school. As of right now, after high school I plan to attend some sort of college to become a Pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant.
