During the Groundhog’s Day contest, the St. Marys Blue Devils had an unfortunate, and extreme, loss to the Williamstown Yellowjackets. The steep difference of the final scoring was due to St. Marys having a lack of practice from bad weather. The snowstorm kept the players from attending practice, so they suffered from not having consistent practice for 10 days. Out of 38 shots, our Blue Devils only scored 12, which is 38 percent. Though, with positive news, Trevor Maley had made a three-pointer, scoring for the Blue Devils.
In the first half of the game, the score was 54-20, and as it transitioned to the 3rd quarter, it rose to 79-29. By the end of the game, the final scoring was 97-31, giving the Yellowjackets the victory. For each quarter (in order) for the Blue Devils, their scorings were 9, 11, 9 and 2 points, totaling at their 31 score. The scoring was completed by Trevor Maley (7 points), Jude Bills (5 points), Tripp Morrison (2 points), and Chandis Wilkinson (1 point).
