The Yellow Jackets took down the Blue Devils on Wednesday, March 13. The Blue Devils made the Yellow Jackets work for the win and the final score was 68-46. The Blue Devils finished their season off with a 10-15 record losing 5 games by five points or less. Preston Lawton made a three pointer early in the game to give the blue devils 3-2 advantage. Then the Yellow Jackets moved out to a 10-6 advantage halfway through the opening stanza but a traditional three pointers by senior Ashton boron moved the score up to 10-9 giving the Blue Devils a chance to come back.
Williamstown then drew up a 19-13-point lead at the end of the quarter. Brody Rice then cut the lead to 21-18 and Williamstown again winded the gap to make it 33-20. Williamstown closed the third quarter on a 15-6 run to take a 54-40 lead into the final eight minutes of play. Ashton Boron (21 points), Sam Miller, Shane Moran (six points), Wyatt Pinkerton (two points) and Adam Bennett all ended their careers in purple and gold at SMHS this night.
