The Super Bowl is the annual league championship game for the National Football League known as the NFL for the United States. This year was Super Bowl LX that was played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the home of the San Francisco 49ers. The huge game was played on February 8, 2026, at 6:30 PM EST. The teams that took place in the game were the Seattle Seahawks from the NFC West division and the New England Patriots from the AFC East division. Personally, I was cheering for the Seahawks who haven’t won a Super Bowl in 12 years. The halftime show was headlined by Bad Bunny with features from Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin and the National Anthem was sung by Charlie Puth. All performances were great, and I enjoyed watching the artists. The game was a defensive battle with no touchdowns scored until the 4th quarter. This makes this game the second game ever to not have a touchdown scored in the first 3 quarters. This also made for a long game and a lot of special teams’ appearances.
The game ended with the Seahawks taking the ring against the Patriots in a 29-13 finish. Coaching the Seahawks was Mike Macdonald and the MVP award was given to running back Kenneth Waker III. This was the Seattle Seahawks second Super Bowl win since their first win in 2013. Both teams ended up finishing their season 14-3 which I found interesting. The total attendance for the Super Bowl was 70,823 fans with the average ticket pricing being around $4,000 to $6,000. For good quality seats near the 50-yard line tickets averaged $15,000 to over $60,000. The Super Bowl brought in around 127.7 million viewers at home from television platforms who didn’t want to pay thousands of dollars. Overall, the 2026 Super Bowl LX was a large event and brought many people together to watch.
