“Outer Banks” follows John B., a teenager from the working-class side of a coastal town, as he embarks on a treasure hunt to uncover his father’s mysterious disappearance. I watched it in the living room with my cousin, and we were both hooked from the start. This series fits into action, drama, and thriller genres, with elements of suspense and adventure. The plot is not confusing; it unfolds steadily, with well-timed reveals that keep you engaged without losing track of the storyline. I absolutely cared about the characters! John B. is a compelling protagonist, and I found myself invested in the fates of all the characters, particularly Sarah and Kiara. There are three seasons in total, with a fourth season on the way. The acting is strong across the board, especially Chase Stokes as John B., whose performance adds depth to his character’s determination and charm. While some events stretch credibility, the show’s emotional core stays relatable. The action-packed treasure hunts and the group’s daring escapades are standout moments that kept us on the edge of our seats. Some of the dangerous situations and twists felt exaggerated for drama, but they did not detract significantly. The special effects are engaging and enhance the adventurous atmosphere. The show does have violence and some intense moments—definitely a trigger warning for sensitive viewers. If you enjoy “Outer Banks,” you might also like “The Society” and “Stranger Things.” The importance of friendship, loyalty, and the lengths one will go to protect loved ones stood out to me. I’d recommend this show to anyone who enjoys thrillers or action-packed dramas, but perhaps not for younger audiences due to mature themes. Overall, I would give the first season a 10/10 and the following seasons an 8/10 for a total rating of 9/10.”

My name is Christian. I’m from Austria. I’m 16 years old. Right now, I’m doing an exchange year in the beautiful State West Virginia in St. Marys (St Marys High School.) In the beginning I was nervous but with the time I got more confidence. Besides that, I am in the football team and can proudly say that I’m the kicker. It is an incredible feeling to help the team however I can, whether with field goals or extra points.
