The St. Marys Cross Country team took part in one of the largest meets in the region last week, traveling to Trumbull County, Ohio, for an event featuring 72 teams in the small school division.
In the boys’ race, a total of 449 runners took to the course, with Bryce Bills leading the St. Marys team by finishing in an impressive 22nd place. He was closely followed by Reece Westfall, who finished 33rd, and Parker Barnes, who placed 43rd. The boys’ team collectively secured 7th place overall.
On the girls’ side, the team also delivered a commendable performance, finishing 15th overall. Anna Bennet led the girls’ team, placing 25th, with Natalie Bartrug finishing shortly behind in 60th place.
Overall, both teams showed exceptional skill and determination while competing against some of the best schools from the East Coast, marking a significant highlight in their competitive season.
