  • Gigi Hadid

Or should I say Jelena (pronounced Yuh-lee-na) Noura Hadid! Gigi is a world-renowned supermodel. In a 2015 interview Gigi stated “In first or second grade, there was a girl named Helena and it got confused with the teacher who had to call out our names, and so the teacher asked my mom ‘If I had to call Jelena a nickname, what would it be?’ And my mom was like, ‘I call her Gigi sometimes,’ and the name stuck.”

“If you don’t like it, don’t follow me, dont watch me, cause i’m not going anywhere.”

  • Lady Gaga

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. I bet you’re wondering how that name turned into something as simple as “Lady Gaga”? Well you can thank the song “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen!

  • Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty; singer, songwriter, record producer, businesswoman, fashion designer, actress and owner of “Fenty Beauty.” Many people go by their middle names, but her friends still call her Robyn! This shows us that she may not have gone by Rihanna her whole life, and fame could’ve changed this.

  • Miley Cyrus

Her parents named her Destiny Hope Cyrus at birth, but in 2008 the singer and

actress legally changed her name to Miley. This stemmed from a nickname she was called as a child… “Smiley” which eventually evolved into Miley.
