Blue Devils Work Overtime for Thrilling Win Over Wahama

St. Marys had to work overtime Thursday afternoon, but the Blue Devils prevailed by four points with an ending score of 75-71 against Wahama in the boys portion of the River City Classic at Marietta College.
Wahama led throughout the first two periods and took a 25-20 edge into the locker room for halftime.
St. Marys fought back in the third period and the teams were tied, 40-40 entering the 4th period.
The Blue Devils and White Falcons continued to exchange blows in the fourth quarter and in the initial overtime session. The score was deadlocked at 56-56 at the completion of the first extra period. St. Marys was finally able to salt away the victory in the second overtime. It outscored Wahama 9-5 to survive for the four-point win.
The sixth-ranked Blue Devils improved to 5-1 while the White Falcons saw their season mark fall tp 3-4.
