Everybody knows what makeup is. Some people might not know how to use it, but most people get the idea. There are many different brands of makeup for many different reasons. Some people have a different type of skin, which requires certain types of makeup. Out of all of these brands, there is bound to be some better than others. These are the top five makeup brands that you should use.

With the many different brands that are made, the top five are Guerlain, Maybelline New York, Clarins, Lancôme and L’Oréal.

Guerlain first started in 1828. It is one of the beauty culture’s most established brands. The brand was managed by the Guerlain family from the start and all the way until 1994. From then on, it’s been run by a French corporation called the LMVH group. Guerlain is most known for its perfumes, but has added makeup and skincare products.

Maybelline New York comes in second. This brand was started in 1914, in New York, New York. Their first product every released was a mascara. This Maybelline Cake Mascara was the modern eye cosmetic made fro everyday use.

Coming in third, we have Clarins. This brand was started on March 15, 1954, in Paris. Jacques Courtins started Clarins when he first made a treatment that he claimed tightened your skin, making wrinkles go away. He then sold his products in Paris.

The fourth makeup brand in the list is Lancôme. This brand was started in the 1930’s, during a major economic crisis. Created by Armand Petitjean, Lancôme has optimized beauty fro over 80 years.

Coming in at the number five spot is L’Oréal. This makeup brand was created by Eugène Schueller, a young chemist at the time, in 1909. L’Oréal started with hair dyes that he formulated and sold to Parisian hairdressers.
