The St Marys Blue Devil Marching band competed at the Oil and Gas Festival on Sept. 13. The field commander, Corey Yoho, placed silver, auxiliary earned bronze, percussion earned bronze and field show earned bronze.
Then, on Sept. 27 the Blue Devil Marching band traveled to Parkersburg South High School; in the field competition the band placed second, percussion placed second, field commander placed first and auxiliary placed second.
On that same day the Blue Devil Marching Band went over to Parkersburg High School and placed first overall in Class D and the field commander placed third.
The Blue Devil Marching Band traveled to Marietta and earned silver in the percussion , got bronze in auxiliary and overall the band placed silver.
Then on Oct. 11 the Blue Devil Marching Band went to the Black Walnut Festival and in parade they placed second, in overall band they placed second, percussion earned second, auxiliary placed third, and the field commander placed second. Feature twirler, Ava Davis, was a finalist in the miss majorette competition.
