Every year SMHS holds a career fair for students to get an idea of what they want for their future. This years will be held on March 14 during school hours. In the career fair students pick four sessions to go to, based on what they are interested in career wise. These sessions are normally led by adults who specialize in those departments. Students will learn the basic knowledge of the career and what all you can gain from it.  Students connect with employers, learn about job opportunities, network to potentially land a job in the future, or a n internship. Often the presenters will talk about their line of work and then students ask question and talk to them one on one. The career fair has shown to be a great way for students to weigh out their option when considering the path they want to take for their future. Not only is this a great way to introduce job opportunities and career choices to kids, but it also teaches them how to make connection and be social in the work industry.
