The All-State Chorus is a recognition that choir students work for each year. The students go to audition to be a part of the best of the best in the state. It is not an easy task to get into the All-State Chorus. If chosen, they spend a weekend in Charleston, West Virginia with other students who got in to then perform for a concert. On the first day, students spend about seven hours rehearsing and about nine hours the next day perfecting their pieces for the performance. There are roughly three hundred students in the choir.
For St. Marys High School has two students who are attending and got into the choir. These students are Autumn Harper and McKenna Broce. McKenna is an alto one and Autumn is a soprano one. This will be McKenna’s second year and Autumn’s fourth year. The students leave March sixth for Charleston and have their concert on the eighth of March. St. Marys is excited to be represented by these two amazing young ladies.
