On Feb. 26, four of Jodi Motes kids and four students that plan to go into education went to the state capitol for disability advocacy day. Jaden Jones, Austin Satterfield, Donna Collins, and Tristan Glover attended, along with Cali Masters, Ella Bullman, Ryleigh Haught, and Callie Powell. These students got to talk to many senators, including some familiar faces, like delegate Barnhart. They got to go to the chamber and were recognized by Donna Boley. Jaden Jones had the opportunity to go on MetroNews that day, accompanied by Callie Powell. Jaden got to talk about his life and all the great opportunities he has got to have. The students had a very successful and educating day advocating for people with disabilities.
