The St. Marys Lady Devils struggled in their game against Wheeling Central, losing 73-60 after a tough first quarter. Wheeling Central took control early with a strong start, leading 27-9 after the first eight minutes. Even though St. Marys played better in the later quarters and cut the lead down to six points at one point, they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Addie Davis led St. Marys with 21 points and 13 rebounds, while Brynnley Bulluck and Laney Watkins also scored in double digits. Callie Powell added eight points and helped with four assists, and Anna Bennett had seven points along with 13 rebounds and four steals. Despite their efforts, Wheeling Central held their lead and secured the win.
