On September 16, the St. Marys Blue Devil golfers triumphed at the Golf Club of West Virginia, winning a five-team match hosted by Williamstown High School. St. Marys scored 162, edging out Doddridge County at 169, with Williamstown (174), Tyler County (186), and Belpre (197) following.
Kenzie Armstrong led the Blue Devils with a 39, tying for third place with Belpre’s Carson Moore. Preston Lawhon shot 40 for fourth, while Tripp Morrison (41) and Trent Renner (42) contributed to the team’s depth. Co-medalists were Madilyn Buttrey and Caleb Sutton, both at even par 36.
This win solidifies St. Marys as a strong contender for the state title, showcasing their talent as they prepare for upcoming matches.
