On Saturday St. Marys cross country team attends the Boardman Spartan XC Invitational.
The Bule Devils were in division 3, with a total of 224 competitors in the boy’s field.
St. Marys boys finished third place with 121 points. Maplewood high won division 3 with 73 points and Waynedale was runner-up with 99 points.
The girl’s field had a total of had a total of 199 competitors. The lady devils ended up placing 9th with 269 points. McDonald High won the girls division with 70 points and Mogadore was the runner-up with 78 points.
The blue devils had a small group of runners finish in the top 15. Bryce Bills in 12th with a time of 17:49.3, Reece Westfall placed 15th with a time of 17.59.9. St. Marys other three scoring spots went to Parker Barns, (20th,18:19), Max Dauch (44th, 19:11.4) and Jay Mote, (49th, 19:21.7). the blue devils sixth man was Daniel Winland (72nd, 19: 59.6) and the team’s No. 7 position went to Desmond Parks (84th, 20:14.5)
Lady Devil Natalie Bartrug made the Top 20 with a 17th place finish and a time of 21:13.7. Anna Bennett placed 25th with a time of 21:38.1. Mariah Whitlock (90th, 25:28.4), Sidni Gerlach (122nd ,27:08.4), and Avry Bennett (128th, 27:24.7)
