The SMHS Spirit Day started off with students in homeroom to take attendance and eating breakfast from 8:03AM – 8:15AM. Immediately following Homeroom students were dismissed to addend the assembly from 8:15AM – 8:45AM with Mrs. Barnhart being our keynote speaker. After being dismissed from the keynote assembly students were separated by grade level to be a part of their class meeting from 8:45AM-9:30AM. After the meetings had been finished the students were moved into groups and instructed to participate in stations with their student leaders. That was the activities the students participated in from 9:30AM – 11:30AM, which then the school debriefed and regrouped in the auditorium from 11:30 –12:00PM with Mrs. Barnhart, Mrs. Mote, and Mrs. Wells. The students and staff had an overview of OLWEUS, and the expectation for advisory classroom meetings. Finally, to finish off the day the freshman and sophomore classes moved to lunch with the juniors and seniors moving to OLWEUS meetings from 12:00PM –12:30PM, then at 12:30PM the juniors and seniors trade with freshman and sophomores and go to lunch with the freshmen and sophomores moving to go to their OLWEUS meetings. Then at 1:00PM students were dismissed to go home.
