“The Santa Clause” is about a divorced dad becoming Santa. The movie is in Christmas genre as well as its sequels “The Santa Clause 2″ and “The Santa Clause 3.” The divorced dad (played by Tim Allen) has custody of his son for Christmas Eve. The duo hears something on the roof and go outside to check. The dad ends up causing Santa’s demise and starts to take his place as Santa. The plot is not confusing because the movie always references what is happening in plain language almost in every scene.
As I have mentioned earlier, there are two sequels to this movie called The Santa Clause 2 and The Santa Clause 3 there is also now a tv series based on these movies streaming on Disney+. The events in the movie is not believable since they show the process of Santa. There are no trigger warnings making this movie great for kids and families.
The movie uses special effects that bring the movie more to life. All of the North Pole is made with special effects. With the sequels that are alike to this movie there is also a tv show series that is similar to it. When watching this movie one can learn about the meaning of being generous. I have watched this movie every Christmas with my family ever since I can remember. This movie including its sequels all have a special place in my family’s heart when it comes to Christmas. Thus, I give the movie an 8/10 rating.
