To start the day off on Friday, April 26, the 11th and 12th graders went to the auditorium at approximately 9-9:30AM where Lynsey Mumaw talked about bad choices and their consequences.
The student were then separated into groups with colored arm bands and headed to their first station. These stations included the fire department where they showed the students the equipment they would have use if they were to be in a wreck, then went to a DUI simulator, a self defense demonstration, a peer recovery meeting, talked about the laws and consequences that go with driving under the influence with the Pleasants County Magistrates, they then went to a first aid demonstration where they learned hands on techniques to stop bleeding along with CPR, the Pleasants County Sheriff and St. Marys PD talked to the students about how to act when being pulled over, the students also got a demonstration from MOVTI auto shop on how to change a flat tire. Each group started at a different location and rotated through all these stations every 20 minutes.
