The SMHS Thespian Troupe qualified for the state one-act competition back in January. The group has worked since then to improve and prepare. The hard work paid off on Saturday, when the troupe earned a third place finish at the state competition, behind Hedgesville and Bridgeport. Awards received include: Most Compelling narrative, 1 of 32 outstanding cast members, 1 of 2 All-Festival cast members, 1 of 5 outstanding One-Acts for the state, 1 Battle of the Bard champion, and 1 of 3 awarded scholarships.
Also coming soon from the theatre group is the spring production, Clue. They will be preforming it on April 4 and 6 at 6:30pm. The tickets cost is $8. This is a must-see!
