The SMHS cheerleaders travel to Marshall University to compete in the state cheerleading championship at the Cam Henderson Center on Saturday, December 9. This appearance at the state championships was St. Marys first time ever in history. The Devils competed, coming in fifth place out of eight teams. The Blue Devils scored 77.02, narrowly behind Doddridge County, with a score of 78.34, putting them in third place. The St. Marys squad consists of Hannah Dutton, Ella Bullman, Izzy Courtney, Taylor Brode, Anna Kimball, Addy Cummings, Savannah Keife, Layla Snively, Andre Yoho, and Ava Yonker. The head coach is Jody Bullman and she was assisted by Deena Miller.
