“The Summer I Turned Pretty” is about a girl caught in a love triangle between two brothers as she deals with her first love and first heartbreak during the perfect summer. I like this movie cause it shows the difficult situations you have to deal with throughout life and the hard choices you have to make. This show tells a story in its own way. It tells a story of belly who only lives in the summer. In the town of cousins she has gone to every single summer since she was born. She has everything she needs there. The Fisher’s have always considered Belly and her family apart of hers.

I can relate to Belly in different ways, like how love can be hard to find at first, and you may think you find the right one until he turns on you. In this movie one of the brothers Jeremiah admits that he isn’t always happy being with belly because part of her will always be for Conrad. Conrad was her first love, he’s the oldest brother. Belly has always wanted Conrad but he only saw her as a little girl, until she decided to change herself. But after the death of Conrad and Jeremiah’s mother, Conrad’s grief created distance between him and Belly leading them to break up.

That lead to Belly realizing that she just can’t trust Conrad, she decided that Jeremiah is the one for her. Later she kisses Jeremiah, showing him that he’s the one she wants to be with and the series ends with belly and Jeremiah together. I personally think that this is a great movie and has very different emotions in it that most people may be able to relate to.
