The St. Marys golf team went to the state golf championships at the jones course. They beat runner up wheeling central by 21 strokes 219-240. The 219 was the lowest score in any state of the regionals. Saint Mary’s over the past four years has developed a reputation as one of the best class A programs in WV. They have claimed three state titles and one runner up trophy in that timespan. They have also claimed five LKC titles in a row.
Their streak of state crowns came to an end last last season when they finished second to Wheeling. At the regional match, Trent R
enner claimed medalist honors with an even par round of 72. The top 3 blue devils were also the top three in overall scoring.
