The rivalry was back in action on Friday with the blue devils falling just short of the win in a 12-8 victory for the yellow jackets. The game was full of playmakers on both sides of the ball for both teams.
With Brody Rice making the first touchdown on the night with a 66-yard catch to put the devils up and Ashton Boron finishing the two-point conversion on a run. This put the devils up 8-0 in the first with some big stops by both sides for the rest of the first half. Though Williamstown took a big loss when their star quarterback Maxwell Molessa taking a big hit and being taken off the field for the rest of the night.
That didn’t stop the Jackets though from coming out and striking in the second half with two touchdowns for Goodnow in the second half. Leading them to a victory over the devils. The defense fought hard on both sides with big nights for the two big men up front for the devils with Watkins and Wagstaff each having an impressive night. While the Jackets kept a firm grip on the devils offense for the whole time after their first touchdown.
