Eion Priestley, a senior at SMHS, has been named a National Merit semifinalist. At SMHS, he participates in the school’s Esports program and attends the Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute.
Priestly was one of 16,000 students named semifinalists in the 68th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Those talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,250 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $28 million that will be offered this spring.
