On Oct. 12 the SMHS sophomores and juniors took the PSAT. Taking the PSAT gives you the opportunity to receive the National Merit Scholarship. This scholarship gives students a full ride to college. At 8:30 a.m. the students began their tests in their testing room. 147 students took the test on Wednesday. Everything was fully paid by the school. The test consists of four sections, two being math and english.
