2 Seniors Earn Spots in SMHS 30 Club
Two members of the Senior Class of 2021 at St. Mary’s High School have been inducted into the SMHS 30 Club. The SMHS 30 Club was established to recognize students who earn either an overall composite score of 30 on their ACT or at least a 30 in one sub area on the test which includes: math, science, english and reading. A score of 36 is the maximum achievable on the college entrance test. Lara Fetty and Kylie Wright met the criteria to be inducted into the 2020-21 30 Club. Lara Fetty is the daughter of Joette and David Fetty and is a three varsity sport athlete, who holds a 4.26 overall grade average. Lara is the member of the Early College Program at SMHS and will be the first to graduate with an associate degree in art from WVU-P prior to her highschool graduation. She is a member of St. Mary’s High School Leo Club, National Honors Society, Mu-alpha Theta and Science Honorary. She plans to attend West Liberty University and major in conservation science. Kylie Wright is the daughter of Jason and Robin Wright and is also a varsity student athlete at St. Mary’s High School. She holds a 4.26 overall grade point average and is a member of the Early College program at SMHS. She will also be one of the first to graduate with an associate degree in art from WVU-P prior to her high school graduation. She is a member of St. Mary’s High School Leo Club, National Honors Society, MU-Alpha Theta and Science Honorary. She plans to attend Fairmont State University to pursue a degree in nursing.
