How To Be A Good Student
The school year can be long and stressful on teachers and students. Being on your best behavior and acting appropriately can make the days more enjoyable for everyone. Here are ten ways to be the best version of yourself in the classroom.
Complete your homework by the due date. Finish your assignments on time and turn them into the correct location. Make sure to include your name, date and class period and that your work is neat and eligible.
Show up to class on time. Arrive to class before the tardy bell and if you are late, be sure to have a note explaining where you were and why you were there.
When working on your laptop, stay on the correct website or assignment. Do not watch Netflix or YouTube while you are suppose to be doing classwork.
Do not interrupt the teacher. Having side conversations while your teacher is instructing can be distracting for them and other students. Also stay seated during the lesson so you do not interrupt.
Throw trash away. Being sure to throw away any trash you bring into the room including bottles, food wrappers and old papers. Be kind and also throw away any trash you see laying around or on the floor.
Be organized. Keep your belongings neat and clean so you can manage your work better.
Make time to study. Take a little bit of time each day to review what you are learning and to study the content.
Take exams, tests, and quizzes seriously. Every assignment you complete impacts your grade. Be sure to do your best work.
Be polite. Use your manners and say “please” and “thank you.” The little things matter the most.
Ask questions in class. If you are confused about the content being taught, don’t be scared to ask for help.
