The SMHS Theatre department held a first-of-its-kind fundraiser on Saturday, March 4. The students dressed up as princesses and fairy godmothers in-training. More than 100 children and their parents were in attendance.

SMHS theatre students provided makeovers to children, which included nail painting, hairstyling and a make-up look. The children then got to meet Anna, Elsa, Moana and Belle. They took photos, signed autographs and danced with the children in attendance.

“Pleasants County is always in need of more events and opportunities for children to have memorable experiences. I knew that I wanted to create an event that was affordable and something that children would remember for months down the road. I was blown away by the talent of my students and they went above and beyond my expectations. We have received countless positive comments and we are looking forward to bringing this event back next spring. We also have plans for another kid-friendly fundraiser this coming holiday season,” said Amber Campano, advisor.
