The Touchy Israel/Palestine Debate

The Israel-Palestine debate is a highly misunderstood or unknown conflict that has been going on for quite some time. Different religions often conflict as not only do they believe their god is the one and only, many different religions share places holding holy significance. Due to this, these places often collide with each other violently in order to gain hold over what they believe is rightfully theirs. The place at hand is the currently-understood territory of Palestinian and its reach into Israel, and how its religious significance to both the Israelites and the Palestinians caused a lot of fighting and death.
The Palestinian people had their home split up wildly through-out the 19th and 20th centuries, and this led to many rebel groups forming to attack those who they believed were in their homelands, i.e. the Jews. The first main conflict lead to the deaths of ~5000 people, with 4000 being Palestinian rebels and civilians, and 1000 being Jewish. This conflict has continued though the war officially ended, and many peace summits have been made. Regular terrorist attacks are made in Israel though many strides have been made for peace in the area.
