The student council has decided to participate in Operation Christmas Child this year. They’ve brought in supplies to make filled shoeboxes that will be given as gifts to kids all around the world who are in need. They fill the shoeboxes with toys, board games and hygiene supplies for all the kids who don’t have easy access to that stuff at home. They are doing the deliveries through a program called “Operation Christmas Child” from Samaritan’s Purse. Samaritan’s Purse has dedicated many volunteers to processing, shipping and making these boxes and they wish to have the operation grow every year.
This is just one of many volunteer programs that Samaritan’s Purse owns, and the student council is doing their part to help out. They hope to brighten the day of many kids around the globe, and give them hope for a better future.
