Another benefactor of following this diet is that it is more environmentally safe, raising livestock and other animals produce more greenhouse gases than cars, by being vegetarian, our carbon footprint can be lowered. Although there are many positive sides to following this diet, there are also several down-sides to vegetarianism.
By not consuming any meat, you could be lacking in some major vitamins, such as Omega 3 fatty acids, which are necessary for proper brain function. Another negative side of this lifestyle would be that you are not consuming enough protein, eating meat is one of the most convenient ways to get your proper protein intake. These are just some of the many pros and cons of following a vegetarian lifestyle.
